Customer Service
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as a liaison between Customers, Sales and Production.
Keeps informed of status of all jobs going through the plant so to facilitate prompt response to customer questions/updates expectations for delivery dates.
Serves customers by providing product and service information, resolving product and service problems.
- Opens customer accounts by recording account information.
- Maintains customer records by updating account information.
- Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
- Helps the finance department by processing customer adjustments
- Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
- Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information to include product status, inventory and other customer requested documentation.
- Manages maintenance of customer inventory status reports as needed.

Customer Service Representative Skills and Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience: Requires a bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years’ experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret a variety of documents, such as customer aging reports, RFPs, estimate requests, procedure manuals, etc. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with agents, customers and other employees of the organization. The Customer Service Representative is often responsible for customer communications regarding sensitive topics, such as quality complaints and outstanding receivables. The ability to communicate these messages in a clear, yet non-confrontational way in both written and verbal form is a necessity. Over time, a much greater percentage of customer correspondence is over email versus telephone, so writing skills are becoming steadily more important to this position, as is the ability proofread critical communications written by the CSRs.
Mathematical/Analytical Skills: Strong math skills are required. Our business has a very complex estimating process that requires Customer Service to understand rates, ratios, margins, markup, etc. Also, many of the inventory programs require a combination of math skills and critical thinking in order to design processes that ensure we produce optimal quantities to balance the need to prevent the customer from running out of labels with the prevention of holding large quantities of obsolete inventory in the future. Proficiency with Excel is very important to manipulating various pieces of information in inventory status sheets and bid packages. Basic understanding of functions like pivot tables and vlookup formulas is strongly preferred.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to use abstract reasoning subject to supervisor approval in situations departing from accepted procedures and practices.

Quality Assurance
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is an unsupervised position, must be a self-starter, neat and organized. Good verbal and written communication skills. Responsible for designing and implementing tests, reviewing and defining corrective actions, review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics. When necessary, service visits to customers, participate in product development meetings with vendors and customers, and stay current with market technology. Also work with other departments to coordinate mandatory safety and quality training.

Finishing
POSITION: HP Indigo Digital Press Operator
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Finishing Helpers work either in the label die cut area or on the label cutting line:
In the die cut area Finishing Helpers work in groups of two to three people. Helpers will feed packs of 1,000 or 500 labels into a machine that cuts the square pack of labels into a variety of shapes. As the labels come down the chute after cutting. Helpers take the stacks of labels and paper and band them (with a paper banding machine). These stacks of labels are then placed on a conveyor for sealing. Helpers then place the sealed products into boxes on pallets to go to the Shipping Department.
On the cutting line, Finishing Helpers assist the paper cutter who is cutting large skids of paper labels into stacks of 1,000 or 500 for further processing. As the cutter pushes the cut labels down the cutting table, the Finishing Helper takes them and processes them (paper banding or placed in small boxes) into boxes on pallets for shipping or places them in bins for further processing in die cut.
In addition to above, Finishing Helpers use electric pallet jacks to move pallets and occasionally lift boxes (average weight 35 lbs. but occasionally up to 50 lbs.) onto pallets.
- Manufacturing experience preferred, printing facility experience a plus. No previous experience necessary to apply.
- Must be able to work any of three shifts: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- High school diploma/GED preferred.

- Jobs require standing for long periods of time. Pushing, pulling and handling packs of labels.

POSITION: Finishing Paper Jogger
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Paper Jogger takes lifts of printed material (maximum size of 28 x 40 inches) and “jogs” or “handles” the lifts onto a paper jogging machine. The Paper Jogger ensures that air is in between the sheets to align the stock for the cutting process. Using an automated scale to obtain required weights for further processing, a Paper Jogger uses a hand board to straighten the sheets/lifts on the automated jogging machine, which then straightens them precisely and to the necessary weight for further processing. While performing the job, The Jogger also inspects the lifts for print defects.
Label sheets are jogged on skids. These skids of label sheets will eventually be processed through a cutting machine that will cut the label sheets into strips and/or packs of labels for further processing in the plant.
Physical Requirements: The job requires using both hands to manipulate the paper and the jogging hand board as well as the necessity to operate the computer machinery of the jogging station.
Paper Jogger positions require standing the entire shift. Paper joggers also routinely push, pull and lift layers and strips of labels. The printed material that is lifted, pushed and/or pulled is approximately 25 lbs. Paper Joggers also use pallet jacks to move pallets.
Gamse employees get two 15 minute breaks and one ½ hour lunch break.

Press Room
POSITION: Litho Feeder Operator
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Litho Feeder Operator is responsible for day-to-day preparation of the press feeders, operation, and maintenance of all offset printing presses. Help producing all offset presswork in compliance with job specifications, quality standards, and time requirements.
MUST BE ALBE TO WORK 3rd OR 2nd SHIFT AS THIS IS MOST LIKELY SHIFT THAT YOU WILL BE ON.
- Assist in the operation of printing press and operates press feeder.
- Assist with daily maintenance of printing press.
- Assist with retrieving plates, hanging plates and recycling/storing plates and other tasks associated with make-ready of the press.
- Ensure paper and raw materials (inks, coatings etc.) are maintained to supply a constant flow of materials while the equipment is running.
- Provide basic assistance as needed to make-ready the equipment for operation.
- Operates Pallet Jack to move paper stock.
- Maintains and cleans all equipment and working area to ensure maximum productivity on an on-going basis. Ensures proper disposal of all cleaning materials in accordance to policies and federal and/or state laws.
- Help in the administration of maintenance programs, tasks, and associated paper work.
- Follow the department’s maintenance program when maintenance is being conducted.
- Inspect job with reference to the work order and instructions to meet quality standards.
- Read, understand, and follow the entire work order of every job.
- Ensures safety policies and procedures are met.
- Other duties as assigned and/or required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Manufacturing experience preferred, printing facility experience a plus. No previous experience necessary to apply.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with some knowledge of four color printing equipment a plus.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

- Able to move 55-gallon drums of coating with drum jack.

- Must have good color vision and pass color vision test.
